Destination NSW look to boost tourism with 'The River's Just the Beginning' marketing campaign

'The River's Just the Beginning' in Destination NSW latest marketing campaign to promote the Hawkesbury Region.

Hawkesbury City Mayor, Councillor Barry Calvert, was delighted to announce the launch of campaign on Thursday, September 17.

"The third phase of the campaign kicks off today and builds on the positive results generated by marketing activity in 2018 and 2019," he said.

"It promotes the stunning Hawkesbury region by showcasing what's on offer and the amazing experiences available.

"The campaign highlights the region as an ideal overnight destination that's perfect for a weekend getaway."

The eight week marketing campaign will engage many industry partners to share the story of the Hawkesbury as well as using major billboard advertising across Sydney.

The campaign will also feature a well-crafted digital and social media approach with promotion on Facebook, Youtube and Instagram.

"The campaign aims to stimulate the Hawkesbury's visitor economy by increasing appeal and consideration for the Hawkesbury as a holiday destination," Cr Calvert said.

"We encourage local tourism operators and businesses to get involved in the 'River's Just the Beginning campaign'.

"Help us spread the word and inspire people to visit the beautiful Hawkesbury!"
