Community organisations, including RSLs and schools, are eligible to apply for funding to deliver projects that improve veteran wellbeing and celebrate their important contributions to society.
A NSW Government program, ANZAC Community Grants provides organisations up to $2,000 to commence, enhance or complete a local community project as part of a commemorative and educational program.
"The current and former servicemen and servicewomen in our community deserve to be recognised for their immense contribution to our country," said Hawkesbury MP Robyn Preston.
"Funding is available to individuals and not-for-profit organisations in the Hawkesbury, including educational institutions, ex-service organisations, community groups, local government associations, museums and historical societies.
"I encourage organisations to apply for a grant and show their support for our veterans."
Organisations can also apply for the grant for public commemorative events, including: virtual services, projects which either enhance local historical research and education, or preserve and display war memorabilia.
Last year, $50,000 from the ANZAC Community Grants Program was shared between 38 projects.
Applications for the grant program will close at 5pm on Remembrance Day, Wednesday, November 11.
