Some time in the future new Hawkesbury resident Hazel Thring will learn about the crazy year in which she entered the world.

At the height of the pandemic lockdown, little Hazel decided it was her time to arrive ... a precious gift to mum and dad, Rowena and Mark.

Hazel was born on April 27 in Norwest Private Hospital.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, she wasn't allowed to meet any visitors for her first six days, including her excited two-year-old brother Lincoln.

When he finally got his chance, young Lincoln did so with open arms.
