Feeling nostalgic? The Richmond Regent is now playing classic movies - the perfect antidote to these uncertain times.
Patrons can either book a classic movie for a private group screening, or go along to public screenings.
"There may not be cakes and candle blowing, dirty dancing or cocktails BUT we can provide a Covid safe movie outing with 19 of your friends (up to maximum 50) watching your favourite retro or golden oldie movie," said the Regent via Facebook.
A number of movies are available for private screenings including Super Troopers, Fight Club, Big Trouble in Little China and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. For a full list, go to https://bit.ly/3fQufo7.
In the meantime, the cinema is providing public screenings of An Affair to Remember, Mary Poppins and Star Wars Episode 4 - A New Hope (1977) - all digitally-remastered - until Wednesday, August 19.
Star Wars Episode 5 - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) is screening publicly September 3-9.
Tickets are $10 for classic films and $12 for the usual new release movie screenings.
The cinema requires minimum two weeks notice for private group bookings to ensure the film hard drives are available for the requested date. Email inquiries to admin@richmondregent.com.au.
Keep an eye on the website at www.richmondregent.com.au for different classic movies coming to the cinema for public screenings in the coming weeks.
