Last term Kindergarten pupils at Arndell Anglican College in Oakville explored emotions in art their art class.
They studied the work of the artist Franz Marc, who loved to capture the mood of the animals he was painting through bold colours.
A few of the wonderful animals created by Arndell's Kindergarten pupils in their art class.
The pupils also looked at the collage techniques used by the author/illustrator Eric Carle in all of his books.
Pupils chose an animal, they then considered the emotion that animal might be feeling and then painted paper a colour that would express that emotion.
When the paper was dry they cut it up to 'colour in' an outline of their animal using collage.
