Falls Festival at Marion Bay, Tasmania, has been cancelled for 2020 in response to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
"After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to not operate Falls Festival Marion Bay this year," the statement said.
"During these unprecedented times, and like most industries, we must adjust our business operations to allow us the best opportunity for long term viability.
"To be clear this is not a goodbye, more a 'see you soon' to Tasmania."
Despite the cancellation of the Tasmanian event organisers said they were planning to operate festival's this year in NSW, VIC and WA and "remain hopeful that we will be in a position to come back to Marion Bay in the future".
"Falls Festival Marion Bay has operated in Tasmania since 2003 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our team, local community and all of our Falls friends in Tassie for their support over," organisers said.
This follows the announcement in May that organisers were working towards a limited edition Falls Festival with an all Australian lineup in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
