If you're still locked down or are nervous about going out, we've put together a list of virtual tours of museums from around Australia and the world.


Australian Museum, Sydney - take a virtual wander and see Australian fauna and flora from pre-historic times to now.

Queensland Museum - you can explore a vast number of objects online from various collections including natural history, cultures, geosciences, model rail and photography collections.

South Australia Museum, Adelaide - there are various collections to explore including Australian Polar, biological sciences, humanities, mineral sciences and paleontology collections.


American Museum of Natural History, New York - there are various virtual tours and collections to be had including a field trip into outer space.

Natural History Museums of Los Angeles - there are various online exhibitions you can explore.

Charles Dickens Museum, London - Explore five floors of Dickens home including the study where he penned many of his famous works. The home is as it would have been when Dickens lived there.

Frida Kahlo Museum, Mexico City - explore this famous Mexican painter's art, studio and the home she shared with Diego Rivera.

Imperial War Museums, London - includes photos and paintings of great conflicts across the planet.

NASA - take a 360 degree tour of the Hubble telescope, International Space Station, NASA facilities, exoplanet exploration, planets beyond our solar system.

National Women's History Museum - has various wonderful online exhibitions depicting women's history.

Natural History Museum. London - There are 13 interactive virtual tours you can take including a tour of the world famous building and various collections.

Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History - you can tour room by room exhibits, as well as current and previous exhibitions and the permanent collection.

Titanic - take a 3D virtual tour around a scale model of the infamous Titanic ship and White Star line.
