While congratulating the local community on its efforts in adjusting to life with COVID-19, Hawkesbury MP Robyn Preston stressed the importance of maintaining safe practices, including social distancing.
Ms Preston's comments come after the spike in Victorian cases, which has put our health officials on high alert.
"I want to congratulate Hawkesbury residents and businesses on the way you have adapted to the restrictions which have been imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic" she said.
"As we are still practicing COVID-19 safe habits, there is no guarantee that we will get back to our regular living and working habits in the immediate future.
"Let's continue to maintain good hygiene, ensure social distancing and get tested if necessary. For more information, please visit nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates."
Ms Preston said that COVID-19 testing was available at Hawkesbury Showground, with a drive through clinic accessed via Gate 3 on Racecourse Road Clarendon.
It operates from 10am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 3pm, Monday to Friday.
"MyHealth Windsor GP Respiratory Clinic is also a testing clinic. You will need to book so for more information go to nbmphn.com.au/Community/Coronavirus," said Ms Preston.
"Let's not become complacent and undo the great effort that Hawkesbury and NSW residents have achieved. Together we can protect our community."
