This past Saturday, July 4 Action Paintball Games Yarramundi held their third annual Yarra Classic 10-Man Mechanical Tournament.
There were six teams competing for the Tim Montressor Memorial Shield; Swat Recon, Eskimo Brothers, Bush Pigs, The Oldballz, Wicked Assassins and Penguin Squad.
"The fields were in pristine condition and the infrastructure was impeccable. Full credit to the staff at Action Paintball for the quality of the playing surfaces," said Nathan Jones, Captain of the Eskimo Brothers.
The games were played on two fields, with every team playing against each other on each field once.
"The battles were fierce and at the end of the preliminary games Swat Recon and The Eskimo Brothers were on top of the ladder and destined to play the finals match on the Hyperball field," said Nathan.
"The final was convincingly won by Swat Recon and this gave them the Triple crown for the event having won the last 3 years of the tournament.
"Players had traveled from as far away as Queensland and Dubbo to take part and were not disappointed with the game play."
Results:
- Swat Recon 787
- Eskimo Brothers 535
