The Northern Territory's border closures may stay for another 60 days.
Chief Minister Michael Gunner today gave his strongest indication yet the border road blocks may stay until August.
Mr Gunner was speaking at a press conference in Darwin this morning explaining the membership of his economic recovery group.
Mr Gunner said the opening of the borders would only come with the advice of medical experts.
The biosecurity zones within the Territory which have limited internal travel to places like Katherine will be lifted on June 5.
Territorians will also go to the polls in August.
The NT currently has no active cases of coronavirus.
Mr Gunner yesterday said the borders would not open until "the rest of Australia is as safe as the Territory".
