CareFlight's Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked just before 2pm on Friday, March 13, to attend a single car crash in East Kurrajong.
The 47-year-old female driver was the sole occupant of the car when it crashed, initially trapping her in the vehicle.
NSW Police met the CareFlight clinical team of specialist doctor and critical care paramedic when they landed in a nearby paddock, conveying them directly to the scene.
The woman sustained serious open lacerations to her leg, bruising and abrasions to her abdomen, chest, left arm and wrist.
CareFlight's clinical team administered pain relief to the woman before transferring her to the helicopter for the transfer to Westmead Hospital. NSW Police were also at the scene.
