The NSW Rugby League's Try League program for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities is coming to Riverstone.
Later this month Try League will begin an an eight-week long program for kids to learn rugby league in the Riverstone community.
The program is aimed at breaking down barriers and social isolation for people from diverse communities.
Children from four-years-old to 12-years-old are encouraged to come together and learn the fundamental skills of rugby league in a fun and safe environment under the guidance of trained coaches.
Last year, Try League received a $400,000 state government grant over four years to expand its successful pilot program.
It is currently being run across CALD communities in Western Sydney, South Western Sydney and Coffs Harbour, including Fairfield and Willoughby.
Try League will Kick off at the Basil Andrews playing fields in Riverstone on Wednesday, March 25.
"This program is designed to make culturally and linguistically diverse sections of our community feel as welcome as they should," said NSW Rugby League CEO David Trodden.
Try League will run for eight-weeks on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 7pm.
The cost of the program is $20 with children receiving a Try League t-shirt.
