The second round of the Major Pennants golf competition took place on Sunday, February 16 after the opening weekend was rained out across most of the divisions.
Windsor Golf Club faced fellow Western Sydney club, Leonay, at Leonay Golf Club.
The two clubs were scheduled to play at Windsor last Sunday, February 9, but due to weather conditions it was ruled a draw, with each team receiving 3.5 points.
The two teams are in Division Four, Section Four alongside Randwick and Warringah golf clubs.
Windsor unfortunately lost to Leonay four games to three.
Marc Goldsbrough and Matt Whitmore split their games earning 0.5 points each for Windsor.
Chad Nelson and Dale Farrugia just barely lost their games 4/3 and 3/2, putting Windsor down 3-1.
Chris Shaw and David Osborne tied things back up as they won their games 2/1 and 1Up.
In the final game Darren Hardman was unable to defeat Wayne Worthy who won 4/2, taking out the first victory for Leonay in the competition.
This coming Sunday, February 23, Windsor will play away at Randwick Golf Club.
Richmond Golf Club played at home against Royal Sydney on Sunday and came away with a victory, defeating the visitors 5-2.
Similar to Windsor and Leonay, these two clubs were meant to match-up last week but were rained out.
Zac Kirk and Jason Moss each split their games giving each team one point combined.
David Dennis was the only Richmond player to lose on the day as he fell 3 and 2 in his match-up.
The other four of Richmond's players managed to come away with good victories.
Thomas Zahn and Damion Miller each defeated their opponents, winning 1Up.
While Craig Ellings and Trent McMillen both posted winnings scores, 3 and 2, to round out the day of competition.
Richmond will travel to Kogarah this Sunday, February 22 to face Kogarah Golf Club.
