The Women's Cottage has a bunch of new- and near-new clothes and shoes, children's books and baby needs, which it will be offering for free to women in the Hawkesbury who are on any sort of Centrelink payment.
The Women's Cottage finance administrator, Meg Keith, said: "Women on a Centrelink payment can come and get what you want on Wednesday and Thursday, January 28 and 29 from 10am until 3pm."
Ms Keith said the offering was an extension of the work The Women's Cottage does, helping women in need in the Hawkesbury.
"We have available: womens' shoe sizes range from 5 to 14, clothes sizes from 8-18 and extra small to 2XL; baby clothing, bibs, blankets etcetera, for newborn to two years old; some men's clothing, mostly small to medium and men's shoes size 9.
"First in best dressed! We have what we have been given so once it's gone it's gone."
The Women's Cottage - a community-based support and resource centre - has been supporting women and children in the Hawkesbury area since 1983.
The service offers specialist, experienced and skilled support for women who have experienced violence and abuse and a range of other support services.
The Women's Cottage is located at 22 Bosworth Street, Richmond; head down the side and through the gate for the clothing sale, which will be held out the back of the premises.
