A man and a woman have been charged with shoplifting after alcohol was allegedly stolen from a Richmond store on two separate occasions.
Hawkesbury police stated the first theft occurred on Thursday, January 9, with the second on Monday, January 13.
The thefts were committed by the same alleged offenders, police stated.
"Hawkesbury Proactive Crime Team officers attended a residential address in North Richmond about 1pm on Tuesday, January 14 and arrested a 51-year-old male and a 41-year-old female," police stated.
"Both were taken to Windsor Police Station and later charged with two counts of shoplifting."
The man was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court, while the woman was released on conditional bail to appear before Windsor Local Court next month.
