A woman has been charged after food and drink donated to the NSW Rural Fire Service was allegedly stolen from a Schofields supermarket.
Police will allege a 37-year-old woman forced her way into a supermarket on Railway Terrace about 3.40pm on Christmas Day, stealing food and SIM cards, as well as a trolley containing food and drink items donated to the NSW RFS.
"Officers from Quakers Hill Police Area Command were notified and attempted to stop the woman, and a 48-year-old man, as they drove from the scene north along Railway Terrace; however, it's alleged the female driver did not stop and PolAir began tracking the car," a police statement said.
"A short time later, the vehicle struck a fence on St Albans Road and the couple was arrested.
"They were taken to Riverstone Police Station where the woman was charged with break, enter and steal, and negligent driving."
The woman was refused bail and appeared before Parramatta Bail Court on December 26.
The man was charged with possess prescribed restricted substance. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on February 3.
