Angelina Thompson and her horse Calvin Park Bolero have had a huge year on the equestrian circuit.
The 12-year-old student from Arndell Anglican College has achieved success at multiple competitions throughout the year.
In February she won the Equestrian Australia NSW Champion Child's Small Galloway of the year.
This qualified Angelina to compete at the prestigious Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships in Werribee, Victoria on the December 5, where she represented NSW.
In March, Angelina was Runner-up Champion Rider Under 12 at The Grand Nationals. She also won the primary, preliminary and novice dressage championship at the NSW State Inter-schools Championships.
This qualified her to represent NSW at the National Inter-school Championships, where she won the primary and preliminary dressage championship.
Angelina was fourth over all in the primary novice dressage championship and fourth in the novice freestyle, which was open to all primary and high school students.
Again, she represented NSW at the Pony Club Nationals where she placed reserve champion in the formal Gymkhana event, consisting of showriding, sporting and showjumping.
"Angie loves every discipline horses has to offer," said her mother, Deanne. "She works very hard to achieve her success."
