On Friday, November 22, family and friends gathered to say a final goodbye to Vicky Streeting.
In honour of her passion for riding, a procession of motorcycles made their way from Windsor Funeral Home to Castlebrook Crematorium.
Vicky was struck by a deer on Sunday, October 20, while she was riding her motorbike up the Putty Road to the Grey Gums Cafe with friends.
"Most weekends she would make the drive up the Putty," said longtime friend Maurice Geake. "About eight kilometers from Grey Gums a big male deer ran out from the side of the road and t-boned the motorcycle, sending Vicky into the the trees.
"She was knocked around quite severely and she had to be put into an induced coma."
The injuries caused a brain bleed. Vicky passed on Saturday, November 9, at age 46.
A large group, made up of family, friends and locals that Vicky had touched throughout her life came together.
"It was huge," said Mr Geake. "Windsor Funeral Home Director Darrell Logue said that it was one of the biggest he'd seen in recent months.
"It was packed at the chapel ... people were spilling out the sides ... there were dozens of rows."
Vicky and her family were well known across the Hawkesbury.
They owned and operated the Riverstone Florists for number of years. Vicky was also known in the local motorcycle community as an avid rider.
"The family are very well known," said Mr Geake.
"She was a very talented rider and she really knew how to control her bike.
"Vicky was the sort of person that would do anything for you ... she had a heart of gold.
"She would bring out the best in everyone and would light up the room."
