Wodonga's Kylie Whitehead staged a spectacular comeback to be crowned the World Singles Champion of Champions in Adelaide on Sunday.
Whitehead lost the first set to New Zealand's Debbie White and was down 7-1 in the second before clawing her way back to set up a tie-break decider.
With the score sitting at 1-1 in the tie-break, Whitehead delivered one of the bowls of the match to saddle up next to the jack, with it later seeing her achieve champion status.
Whitehead thanked her Wodonga support network for coming on the week long journey with her.
"It's been amazing," Whitehead said. "I've had messages from everywhere and I've got my little support group here from Wodonga, they've been amazing.
"I can't thank people enough for all of the support they've given me, it's definitely got me through the week."
The newly crowned champion said positive thinking and a shift in momentum helped her to turn the game in her favour during the second set.
"I think I was just thinking, don't disgrace yourself," Whitehead said. "I was just hoping that somehow a miracle would happen and I would somehow get back into the set.
"I think picking up that three was a bit of a momentum shift
"She (White) was playing so well and putting me under all sorts of pressure."
