A star-studded line-up of the nation's best senior golf professionals will tee off at Richmond Golf Club tomorrow (Thursday) for the Australian PGA Seniors Championship.
After an extremely successful tournament in 2018, The Australian PGA Seniors Championship will return to Richmond for a second consecutive year.
A large field of senior golfers will go head-to-head over three days for a prize purse of $80,000.
Last year's winner, Michael Long of New Zealand, will be returning to play. He currently sits in a tied thirteenth with four over par.
Richmond championship veterans, Peter Senior and Michael Harwood (2015 winner) are both making a return in an impressive field that also features Peter Lonard, Peter O'Malley, Brad Burns, Peter Fowler, and 2014 winner Darryl Purchase.
Plus some strong international players in Ben Jackson, Martin Pettigrew and Perry Parker.
Senior has played off in the finals the past two years the championship has been played at Richmond (2015 and 2018).
Most of the players will be coming off of the back of last weekends Lincoln Place NSW Senior Open.
The PGA of Australia and the Richmond Club are committed to ensuring the tournament has a regular home in the ensuing years.
Richmond Golf Club has agreed to host the event until 2020.
The tournament begins tomorrow (October 31) and concludes on Saturday, November 2.
Course entry is free for spectators.
