Family and friends of Peter Whatson will be holding their fourth Annual Peter Whatson Memorial Golf Day on Friday, November 1 at Windsor Golf and Country Club.
Since the days inception it has raised nearly $70,000.
All funds raised on the day is donated to the Melanoma Institute of Australia and to help with melanoma research. This cause was chosen as Pete passed from melanoma.
"We are hoping to raise another $20,000 on Friday," said Trish Whatson, Pete's wife. "The two boys who first started it had their industry colleagues support the day.
"I'd say that it is now half sponsorship and half family and friends."
They run a silent auction and a raffle, with gifts donated by the day's sponsors. Along with a bar fridge stocked with drinks for which they sell keys.
Golfing challenges like nearest to the pin will also feature. Former Rugby League player Terry Lamb will emcee the day.
