A woman has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car in Windsor this morning (Friday).
The incident occurred about 5.15am on Macquarie Street, near the intersection of Christie Street, according to police.

"The 30-year-old woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics. She has since been airlifted to Westmead Hospital for further treatment to serious injuries," a police statement said.
"The vehicle left the scene, however a man has since attended Windsor Police Station."
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
