GREATER Sydney Local Land Services is hosting a free workshop for local primary producers on 'Grazing management for drought resilience' for Hawkesbury residents on Friday, September 27, 9:30am-4pm, at Hebron Farm, 110 Hebron Road, Lower Portland.
Facilitated by farmer and educator Brian Wehlburg, participants will gain an introduction to holistic management, planned grazing and strategies to build drought resilience.
The workshop will cover the potential benefits of animals for soil health.
Topics covered will include principles of holistic management, feed budgeting, preparing a grazing plan for winter, and ecological monitoring approaches.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their grazing plans, monitoring information and questions.
