VISION Australia Seeing Eye Dogs are conducting a trial program in North-West Sydney and are asking residents of Richmond, Windsor and McGraths Hill to be part of it.
For six months starting in November, Seeing Eye Dogs will be trialling their foster caring program in the region.
Participants will be asked to offer housing for one adult dog as they enter the final stages of their training before being paired with a client.
The dogs will be picked up Monday-Thursday morning, before being returned at the end of the day.
Friday-Sunday are respite days for the dog to relax in their resident's home.
The trial is being performed by Vision Australia Seeing Eye Dogs as they assess the possibility of working in this region full-time.
All food, veterinary care, equipment and bedding will be supplied at no cost to the participant.
Paul Adrian, Senior Instructor at Seeing Eye Dogs who is overseeing the trial, described the perfect candidate for this opportunity as "someone who is organised, can be consistent with their approach to the dog, but above all else, must love dogs."
