A man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman and demanded money from her and her family is due to appear in court.
Riverstone police arrested a man about 10.20pm on Friday, September 6 for alleged domestic abuse of his partner between February and August this year.
"Further inquiries revealed the man allegedly sexually assaulted the 23-year-old woman on numerous occasions," a police statement said.
"Police will also allege the man demanded money from the woman and her family."
A 35-year-old man has been charged with demanding money with menaces, two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, and seven domestic violence offences including choking without consent.
He has been refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (September 13).
