Two teenage girls and a man have been taken to hospital following a car crash at Pitt Town.
The crash happened in the afternoon of Sunday, August 11, trapping the 39-year-old male driver of the vehicle, a CareFlight statement said.
NSW Ambulance crews and Hawkesbury State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers were able to free the man and provided initial treatment while CareFlight's rapid response helicopter was tasked to attend about 2pm.
The helicopter landed in a paddock just metres from the scene and CareFlight's specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided treatment to the driver.
He was transferred to Westmead Hospital via road ambulance .
The teenage girls were taken by road ambulance to the Children's Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
