Leading the supporting pack is the ever-delightful Lily James (The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society) as Jack's long-suffering best friend/manager/potential love interest Ellie.
James is a shining ray of light in all of her films and Yesterday is no exception.
One of the more surprising members of the cast is none other than Ed Sheeran.
The superstar singer makes more than just a cameo appearance as himself - he is a genuine supporting character.
Not only that, he's also contributed a couple of sweet songs to the soundtrack.
Joining James and Sheeran are Game of Thrones alum Joel Fry as Rocky, Jack's hapless friend/roadie (picture Rhys Ifans' character from Notting Hill) and Saturday Night Live goofball Kate McKinnon as greedy music executive Debra.
Aside from one possible misstep towards the end of the film, Yesterday is a charming, fun, original movie that will put a smile on your face.
