The inaugural Ladbrokes Gold Muzzle Puppy Auction (GMA) will be held at Richmond Racetrack on Sunday, June 23.
Organisers are confident that record sales could be established with some of the best-bred pups in Australia being available.
The final draft of 118 pups includes relations to Group 1 winning chasers and all pups sold at the Ladbrokes Gold Muzzle Auction are eligible to compete in the 2020 Golden Muzzle Race Series which will offer more than $100,000 in total prize money.
The Auction Catalogue was released last week and Mark Duclos, Managing Director of GMA, said the quality of stock on offer is first class and pups will be sold in a price range from $2,000 and upwards.
"In 2015, a record of $30,000 was set for a 5-month old pup being sold at Auction but I wouldn't be surprised if that figure was eclipsed given the interest we have fielded to date," said Duclos.
"Apart from having some of the best-bred pups for sale, our activities on Auction day will also include an Owners and Trainers forum with G1 Winning Trainer Jason Mackay, and Australia's foremost Breeding expert David Brasch as our guest speakers.
"We are also catering for the whole family who wants to enjoy the day and we'll have Face Painting, Jumping Castles and other entertainment for the kids along with plenty of food and beverage options."
Pups will be available for viewing from 10.30am on the day with the Auction being staged under-cover at Richmond Racetrack from 12.30pm.
Catalogues for the Ladbrokes Gold Muzzle Puppy Auction will be available on-site or they can be downloaded from the Gold Muzzle Auctions website at goldmuzzleauctions.com.au
