A motorcycle rider has been flown to hospital suffering leg injuries following a collision in Richmond this morning (June 13).
The 35-year-old's motorcycle collided with a car on Lennox Street shortly after 8.20am, according to Hawkesbury police.
"The man was turning at the intersection of Lennox and Paget Streets when his motorcycle and a car collided, the motorbike eventually coming to a stop on the wrong side of the road, but without impact with oncoming traffic," a statement from the CareFlight helicopter team said.
"CareFlight's rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene at 8.31am, landing at Richmond Oval.
"Police were on hand to convey the critical care team a few hundred metres to the scene where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment.
"CareFlight's specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided further treatment at the scene for injuries to the leg."
The man was flown to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
Hakwesbury police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and have called for witnesses to come forward.
"If any person has relevant dashcam footage and or directly witnessed the incident we ask you to contact Windsor police station, event 71775162 relates," police stated.
