St John of God Richmond Hospital is asking for support from the community to help them donate their old hospital beds to charity.
Communication Support Officer Tania Hoinville said the hospital was replacing its hospital beds and would be donating their old ones to Rotary's 'Donations in Kind'.
Through the Donations in Kind program, Rotary will send the beds overseas to a charity or hospital that needs them in a developing country.
"We are looking for support from Rotary or The Chamber of Commerce in transporting the 82 beds from St John of God Richmond Hospital in North Richmond to the Rotary warehouse in Castle Hill next Wednesday 19/6 and Friday 21/6," said Ms Hoinville.
"If you know of a business, organisation or individual that could volunteer a truck and driver, we would be most appreciative."
If you can help or know someone who can, get in touch with Ms Hoinville at St john of God Richmond Hospital on 4570 6202 or email tania.hoinville@sjog.org.au.
The beds would need to be picked up from the hospital, located at 177 Grose Vale Road, North Richmond.
