The Australiana Pioneer Village Country Fair was a huge success last Sunday, May 26, with community members lining up to ride on the newly-refurbished Pioneer Express Train.
Pioneer Village's Lesley George said a huge 466 people rode the Pioneer Express on the day.
"What a day we had - it was fabulous - everyone was so thrilled to have the Pioneer Express running again and The Village Shops and Stallholders all thoroughly enjoyed the day," she said.
"It was just so special to see so many happy faces and people talking about how they spent their childhoods in The Village and on the train - and so thrilled that their children can now do the same."
The Pioneer Express train will now run every Sunday, as will the village's Mini Train and the Tractor Hay Rides.
Ms George said it had taken "hundreds, if not thousands" of volunteer hours to get the Express Train ready to take the public again.
