Founder of the Hawkesbury's Funshine Yoga, Elaine Henry, has been named as a finalist in the 2019 Altitude Awards in the category of 'On My Way'.
The Altitude Awards provide the opportunity to acknowledge local entrepreneurs who have made outstanding contributions to community and businesses as owners, volunteers, employees, creative thinkers, charities and community organisations.
The 'On My Way' award is presented to the best new business or start-up business.
"I believe it is essential for children of all ages to learn about self love, the power of their breath, how to relax and strategies to reduce stress," said Ms Henry.
"Funshine Yoga offers a way for children and families to experience a fun, non-competitive activity which cultivates cooperation and compassion whilst supporting positive self image and mental health.
"My classes are child led using age appropriate props and music with an emphasis on fun.
"I am extremely grateful to be amongst the finalists for the 2019 Altitude Awards," said Ms Henry.
An independent judging panel will adjudicate the awards. Women with Altitude founder, Andrea Turner-Boys said, "we look forward to this time each year when we celebrate the champion achievements of everyday people achieving extraordinary things."
Funshine Yoga will be at the Hawkesbury Leisure and Learning Centre, Richmond on Sundays throughout June.
