There will be fun and games for the whole family at the Hawkesbury Regional Museum's Heritage Festival Open Day on Saturday, May 18.
The event will celebrate International Museum Day and the 2019 National Trust Heritage Week Festival, as well as the museum's eleventh birthday.
The Open Day will showcase local heritage, with a Welcome to Country, free tours of historical Howe House, historical group displays, a free sausage sizzle, kids' activities and live music.
There will be lots of history-based things to see, learn about and do, including information stalls run by a selection of local historical groups.
Scheduled events including a Welcome to Country at 10.15am, a selection of live music - Cracked Cats from 10.30am, Chorella Choir from 1pm-1.30pm, and Brett The Hat from 1.45pm onwards.
There will be fun and games all day including hoopla, old-style fair games and activities, and free sausage sizzle from 10am to 3pm.
The event is free to attend and runs from 10am until 4pm.

Margaret Catchpole tour
Make it a weekend of history with the museum's Self Drive Tour on Sunday, May 19, on 'Margaret Catchpole: The Truth behind the Legend'.
Meet at the museum at 9.45am for 10.00am for the introductory talk, film and refreshments. Following, you will be given a schedule of locations and times, including several venues at Richmond and one at North Richmond and will be met at each of the locations.
The tour finishes at Richmond Cemetery at 4pm. Participants should wear sensible shoes for walking and pack their own picnic lunch to enjoy at Pugh's Lagoon.
