Local cancer charity Pink Finss is bringing gaming and glamour to the Hawkesbury for its Pink Royale Casino Night fundraising event.
Punters will have the opportunity to step into their very own local casino for the night, with a choice of five gambling tables including Blackjack, Roulette, Vegas War and Vegas 21.
Don the 'black and white' dress theme and take your partner along, or get together a group of ten people and enjoy discounted tickets.
With hot and cold canapes, beer, wine, soft drink, live entertainment by Planet Groove, raffles, auctions and more, the night will be geared towards mingling with old and new friends - so if you're flying solo, don't let that hold you back from supporting a great cause and having a fun night out in the process.
Pink Finss events manager Kym Burton said this year is the first time the team has organised a casino night for their annual charity evening, which for the last three years has been the Pink Tie Ball.
"This is a cocktail event with more of an opportunity to mingle and catch up, so tickets are not sold as tables this year," she said.
"Feedback from previous events was that the most important things people want from a Pink Finss event are catching up with friends and dancing, so adding the casino element and more of an opportunity to mingle we hope we're covering those bases - we really want people to have a fun time.
"We hope this format is a bit more affordable for people, too - they don't have to go out and spend so much money on hair, makeup, a ballgown ... we wanted to give people more of an opportunity to come along, and hopefully to put some money into the event itself."
Pink Finss helps local women who are diagnosed with cancer, and provides support for their families.
Over 300 people are expected at the fundraising event which, according to Ms Burton, is all about having fun while supporting a great cause.
"In the last month we had six new ladies approach us for help. These events are our only means of fundraising, which is why they're so important, and we're always grateful for the community's support," she said.
The major prize on the night will be a trip for two to New Zealand casino Sky City Auckland, including return airfares, accommodation and $1,000 spending money.
