Hawkesbury not-for-profit Fly High Billie is now a fully-registered charity with deductible gift recipient status, and the organisation has two events coming up on June 22: B Kinder Day and the B Kinder Night of Hope fundraiser.
The charity was set-up to honour Pitt Town's Billie Kinder, who died at 12 years old in a horse accident three years ago.
Since that time, Billie's family have worked tirelessly to share Billie's kindness with others, promote wellbeing and raise money for charity, including releasing a range of gift cards and a book with Billie's artwork and poems.
Mum Danny Mayson-Kinder is encouraging locals to get on board with the events.
"For the main activity on B Kinder Day, we are encouraging everyone, not just children to use Billie's greeting cards to write to people they love and care about," she said.
"They can also use the cards to write letters of gratitude to people in the community who help them. Over 3,000 cards were sent out from schools last year in 2018, spreading Billie's message of kindness.
"This year we have already sold over 6,000 greeting cards to schools, early learning centers and daycares."
She said a number of local schools have already signed-up to participare, including Arndell Anglican College, Glossodia Public School, Pitt Town Early Learning Centre and Kenthurst Preschool, as well as businesses The Bridge Cafe, Farmhouse Living, and A Farmers Daughter.
"We want this to be a worldwide event and already have schools in the UK, organisations throughout Europe and the general public taking part," Mayson-Kinder said.
The B Kinder Night of Hope fundraiser will take place at Hawkesbury Race Club.
Fly High Billie passes on all profits from the sales of books and cards to charity, including Assistance Dogs Australia, Feel the Magic, Bear Cottage, Allkids in Cambodia, and the R U Ok campaign. Mrs Mayson-Kinder said they have now donated over $110,000.00 to charity.
