If you're looking for something to watch, you can't go past a browse in your local video store. Guirong Wu, Hawkesbury's 'Last Kangaroo' from Civic Video Windsor, brings us his monthly wrap-up of the best films out for hire at the shop.
Popular picks are Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, The Grinch, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Mortal Engines, and Robin Hood.
Brand new in store are Aquaman, Bumblebee, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, Mary Poppins Returns, Second Act, Holmes and Watson, Asher, and I Still See You.
Aquaman was a personal favourite of Mr Wu's this month, and he said it was "actually a lot better" than he expected.
"Also I found a new song I can sing - this was exciting," Mr Wu said, referring to this month's Picks From The Pouch video featuring his rendition of 'Everything I Need' from the Aquaman soundtrack (view below).
"Usually a superhero flies to the sky and fights like crazy, but this time it's all underwater. This movie has interesting characters," he said.
"Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, as if we were born to wield a trident. Approved by 97 per cent of viewers this is a very watchable movie with great computer effects."
Another personal recommendation was The Children Act, which features a "supremely confident and incredibly moving performance from Emma Thompson as a family court judge".
"She plays a judge who is so involved in her work she neglects her marriage and almost loses her own personal life because of the way she causes her husband Stanley Tucci to look for comfort outside the marriage," he said.
"The story gets complicated because the young man in her last case becomes obsessed with her. Really good acting all round in a moving story."
As always, Mr Wu pulled an old movie out of the archives, this time in the form of 1957 drama/crime film, 12 Angry Men.
"Some customers are always asking me what is a good movie and I tell them if a movie makes me sleep then it's a good movie," he said.
"It took me three nights to finish watching. I really had good sleeping with strange dreams when I finished.
"Highly recommend if you have time to look into dramas from the 1950s."
