If baking people into pies sounds like your cup of tea, then you'd be a fool to miss Sweeney Todd in Sydney this year.
Australian theatre icon Anthony Warlow and Kath and Kim's Gina Riley star in the bloody stage production of Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street this June at Darling Harbour Theatre ICC Sydney.
The darkly comic tale follows exiled barber Sweeney Todd who returns to London to exact his revenge on those who have wronged him.
He partners with lovelorn baker Mrs Lovett to bake his victims in pies and feed them to the locals.
The music and lyrics are by legendary musical man Stephen Sondheim and the story was previously brought to the big screen by eccentric director Tim Burton with Johnny Depp in the starring role.
Sweeney Todd features such memorable songs as Not While I'm Around, The Worst Pies in London and Johanna.
The Sydney show will run for a strictly limited season of just six performances between Thursday, June 13 and Sunday, June 16.
Tickets start at $99.
