A South Windsor woman has won $101,000 in a Lucky Lotteries prize she initially thought was $1,000.
The lucky local won the guaranteed $100,000 first prize in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10284, on Thursday, April 18 with a ticket purchased online.
In addition to winning the first prize, the woman also won a consolation prize of $1,000, boosting her total prize to $101,000, a statement from The Lott said.
"When a NSW Lotteries official contacted the woman to deliver the news, she admitted she was glad she had been sitting down when she heard she had won the first prize," the statement released today (April 23) said.
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Lott she saw the $1,000 in her online account "but I didn't see that I had won $100,000 as well.
"Oh my god! The most I have won is $500 in the past and I was so happy about that," she said. "This is great! What an amazing way to start the week.
"This is excellent! I am going to have a few drinks tonight and then go out for dinner with my mum this weekend to celebrate."
The woman planned to use the money to go on a shopping spree and "spoil myself a little.
"I might go on a holiday too. I need to have a bit of a think of where I'd like to go. Probably somewhere beautiful overseas," she said.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $56.92 million for draw 1284 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $500,000 for draw 10285, the statement said.
