Body believed to be that of man missing since March

A body discovered at Colo Heights over the Easter weekend is believed to be that of a man missing from Chester Hill since March.

Two men had been driving along a fire trail near Colo Heights Road about 2pm on Sunday, April 21 when they saw a Toyota Hilux parked in bushland, police stated.

A tent nearby contained a body.

"Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene," the police statement said.

"The body is yet to be formally identified, but it is believed to be that of a 51-year-old man who was last seen at a home in Chester Hill on Monday, March 4.

"Initial inquiries suggest the death is not suspicious."

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
