The men accused of the daylight execution-style murder of a former bikie boss in a Sydney gym car park have been ordered to stand trial.
Ahmad Doudar and Yusuf Nazlioglu are both charged with murdering former Comanchero chief Mahmoud "Mick" Hawi who was shot multiple times as he sat in his luxury car outside Fitness First Rockdale in February 2018.
Both men entered not guilty pleas on Thursday and they were ordered to face the Supreme Court on June 7.
The pair did not apply for bail and it was formally refused at Central Local Court.
A third man, Moustafa Salami, is charged with being an accessory after the fact. His bail conditions were not varied and he also entered a not guilty plea.
Prosecutors will reportedly attempt to have Salami's matter brought into the June 7 trial, but he is next expected before the District Court on May 17.
The ruling comes a day after Doudar's bid for bail was rejected by the NSW Supreme Court.
"Given ... his disregard of societal behavioural norms - otherwise known as the law - and his flagrant disregard of legal obligations, there is a very real risk which cannot be mitigated that he will commit further serious offences and endanger members of the public," Justice Peter Garling said on Wednesday.
Prosecutors allege Doudar's car was tracked on CCTV travelling from his CBD home to Rockdale about the time of Mr Hawi's shooting.
Detectives later allegedly discovered a firearm in a garage allegedly used to store one of the getaway cars.
Doudar's recorded conversation with a man in custody and his efforts to conceal and repair a vehicle used in the murder are among other pieces of circumstantial evidence that tie him to the killing, prosecutors allege.
His barrister, Greg James, questioned on Wednesday how video footage could prove his client arranged the allegedly debt-fuelled murder.
Another man, Jamal El Jaidi, became the third man charged with murdering Hawi in March. He is expected before court on May 8.
Hawi became infamous for his role in the 2009 bashing death of Hells Angels associate Anthony Zervas in a wild brawl at Sydney Airport.
The gangster-turned-family man had mainly flown under the radar following his release from prison in 2015 until he was gunned down at the beginning of 2018.
