If you dream of living in a place that feels like it's been built just for you, that dream could soon be a reality.

Driven by the desire to build supportive communities for residents of the Hawkesbury region, the Richmond Club Group is in the process of developing the greatly anticipated Rivera Place.

CEO Kimberley Talbot said the project would "redefine the concept of aged care".

Founded in 1947, on the spirit of mateship, by servicemen returning from war, Richmond Club stands today as the heart of the local community, known for its commitment to creating a sense of belonging to all.

Ms Talbot says Rivera Place will be built on this same foundation of camaraderie and support, characterised by its commitment to person-centric service that is firmly based on holistic care.

"We believe a sense of belonging and companionship is vital to well-being," she explained.

"Our philosophy shifts the focus of aged care away from the traditional clinical atmosphere of nursing home facilities to a more homely environment."

Rivera Place is an impressive three level extension of the Hawkesbury Living Aged Care, boasting an interior that offers spacious and modern suites, communal areas for family functions and designated internet hubs. The building's 4.5 star fit-out will have residents feeling right at home.

"We provide a wide range of services to maximise choice and independence. We encourage our residents to socialise and engage with others," she said.

"We even have companion suites available for those who like company and couples who want to stay together...

"We're a multi-generational community with a meaningful history that spans across many eras. Each of our residents has a story connecting them with their family and community."

With a name that reflects each chapter of the community's rich and diverse history, the creation of Rivera Place marks the beginning of a new era in aged care, one that Ms Talbot says is defined by both clinical and care excellence.

Created to meet the need for more aged care facilities in the Hawkesbury region, which is currently operating at a 99% occupancy rate, Rivera allows families to stay local as they grow older, within the community they've grown up in, in the place they know as home.

Not only does Rivera Place offer support to its ageing residents, their facilities also offer a range of wellbeing services and services for families.
