More than 200 jumping riders from around the state headed to Clarendon on Sunday for the Pre-Royal Jumping Competition held by the Sydney Jump Club at the Clarendon club grounds.
Riders enjoyed great autumn weather and courses designed by Mark Atkins from Maraylya and Dave Neil from Glenmore Park with over 650 competition rounds making it a full day.
Current and former Australian champions took part in the main arena action.
Tom McDermott from Mulgoa, himself a dual National title holder, had an amazing day winning the 1.30, 1.40 and 1.50 metre classes, riding his Royal Easter Show horses Checkin Charlie, Alpha Activity and Elegance De La Chamille.
Tom and Elegance De La Chamille were on back-to-back wins after winning the Camden Show Grand Prix on Saturday.
Three times National title holder Chris Chugg from Tennyson was the runner-up in the 1.40 metre class, riding his section one Sydney Royal mount PSS Levilensky.
Amber Fuller from Glossodia, the current Australian Champion, was third to McDermott in the 1.50 metre class riding her super jumping machine CP Aretino.
Former Olympian David Cooper from Millers Forest won the final class in the main arena riding Victory Day.
Jumping for Junior and Young riders commences at the Royal Easter Show on Friday, April 12, with senior jumping starting on Wednesday, April 17 and continuing over the Easter weekend.
