Two men will face Windsor Local Court next month following a violent incident at Thompson Square.
The two had allegedly been acting in an intimidating matter towards people occupying the Community Action for Windsor Bridge (CAWB) tent on the evening of Tuesday, March 19, according to witnesses.
Hawkesbury police attended and spoke with a 48-year-old man and a 24-year-old, issuing a direction to leave the area.
"After a move on direction was not complied with, police went to arrest the 48-year-old male when they were hindered by the 24-year-old," police said in a statement. "Police will allege both persons violently resisted ... attempts to arrest them.
"Further resources attended and both males were able to be contained and transported to Windsor police station."
A 48-year-old Box Hill man was subsequently charged with assault, two counts of intimidation, resisting arrest and failing to comply with a police direction.
A 24-year-old man also from Box Hill was charged with failing to comply with a police direction, two counts of resisting arrest, assaulting police, two counts of intimidation, and and using offensive language in a public place.
The two were granted conditional bail to appear before Windsor Local Court on April 18.
