The NSW government and Labor opposition are both guilty of misleading voters during the state election campaign over the true cost of power and energy bills, an AAP FactCheck investigation found.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian claimed on Sky TV during the March 20 Peoples' Debate "we actually have the lowest (energy) bills in Australia".
Labor claimed in an election advertisement that "power prices in NSW are the highest in the developed world".
The AAP FactCheck team of investigative reporters examined both claims and found them to be both false.
While five different national and international studies and reports differ on which Australian state or territory has the cheapest and most expensive power and energy bills, none awarded either title to NSW.
Ms Berejiklian also stretched the truth over claims "Metro West will more than double the existing rail capacity between Parramatta and the Sydney CBD and reduce the journey ... to around 20 minutes, with trains running every two minutes".
AAP FactCheck found only the Premier's claim the proposed new line will double capacity was correct while the 20 minutes travel time was an aim and the comment that the new line would run trains every two minutes differed with the project overview.
Likewise Mr Daley found himself in hot water when the SCG Trust said his claim that the SCG trustees had 'ripped out' the Allianz Stadium fire sprinkler system 'under the cover of darkness' was incorrect.
AAP FactCheck found Mr Daley's claim to be false because the stadium never had sprinklers.
