Commuters catching the route 663 bus from Windsor to Pitt Town are to receive a boost in services following an announcement by the State Government.
Hawkesbury Liberal candidate Robyn Preston has announced the 663 service would have increased weekday peak and Saturday frequency, and Sunday services would also be introduced.
“I’m really excited about these changes, as they mean that more people will be able to take the bus,” Ms Preston said in a statement.
“Commuters will no longer have to put up with the same wait for their bus, making it a much better option for anyone travelling between Pitt Town and Windsor.
“Many people across our community depend on public transport, and the increased services will make things much easier – as a shorter wait for the bus will mean you’re able to get to your destination faster."
More than 14,000 extra weekly bus services would be delivered over the next four years by a re-elected NSW Liberals and Nationals Government, she said.
“More than 32,000 additional bus services have been brought in by the NSW Liberals and Nationals, as opposed to Labor’s cancellation of 1,500 bus services when they were in power,” Ms Preston said.
