As International Women's Day approaches the team at Cathy Stevenson & Associates are celebrating their amazing team.
"We live in a world where there are so many hurdles for women, we needn't create another by denying women's job role after having babies," principal solicitor Cathy Stevenson said. "By lifting their confidence, we support young mothers in the workforce while they are raising their children.
"Every day women are called upon to selflessly meet the needs of their families, so we are flexible with their work hours and appreciate their commitment to their position at our firm.
“I am a strong woman because a strong woman raised me, and I am incredibly proud of my staff."
Salina Brewer: The senior legal assistant works from home while caring for her baby.
"Salina is a talented young woman and an asset to this firm," Ms Stevenson said.
Tracy Harris: The firm's new recruit is a single mother of five.
"Giving older women an opportunity to re-enter the workforce after being at home for years while raising children is important to their self-esteem," Ms Stevenson said. "Tracy's eagerness and passion to learn new skills is expressed each day by her awesome smile.
"Tracy has overcome her obstacles with grace. It is hard to compete with a person who never gives up."
Jacinda Stevenson: The 21-year-old is "the heart of the business".
"Our firm also recognises young women starting in the workforce, training and supporting them," Ms Stevenson said. "Jacinda brings light and laughter to our office. To be nominated as a finalist in the Outstanding Youth Award reflects how much she has achieved through hard work and commitment."
Madeline Stevenson: Currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science, Madeline works part-time. She has recently become a Justice of the Peace.
"To give 100 per cent commitment to their job while working towards a career they want to pursue is commendable," Ms Stevenson said. "We support them on this journey and accommodate women who study and need time off for exams."
Debbie Bathgate: The legal executive is an inspiration to those around her.
"She is selfless, kind-hearted, compassionate and a role model for younger women. A wonderful trainer, Debbie is patient and encouraging," Ms Stevenson said.
Ms Bathgate believes strongly that women must "support and encourage one another, because we can do so much more as a team”.
Through hard work and determination, the team at Cathy Stevenson & Associates has built a successful business and Ms Stevenson also sends special thanks to Vicky Morris, Isobel Butler, and Jazmin Foster.
