Hawkesbury Cricket Club had a successful weekend as three of their grades defeated Western Suburbs.
First Grade dominated the second day of their match as they chased down a total of 237 from 97 overs set by Suburbs on day one last week.
Despite a turbulent start to the innings losing two wickets for only one run Captain Peter Forrest and opening batsman Josh Clarke scored all of the runs for First Grade.
Forrest had 106 runs from 193 balls and Clarke scored 127 runs from 179 balls.
The Hawks scored 2/240 after just 63.2 overs defeating suburbs in the second last home game of the season.
Fifth grade also had a solid win at home as Suburbs chased the Hawks total of 173 runs from last weekend.
The Hawks were led by Lachlan Jacobs and Hemish Ahuja on day one as they scored 52 and 57 runs, respectively.
The bowling attack was led by Dennis Papworth as he took 5/42 with eight maidens from 20 overs.
Adithya Krishna, Dylan Piggott, Aaron Stewart and Ali Bajwa all took one wicket.
Hemish Ahuja had one run out to round out the Hawks fielding efforts.
Fifth grade restricted Suburbs to just 153 runs after 56.4 overs.
Hawkesbury's Fourth Grade kept their finals chances alive with a convincing defeat over Western Suburbs has moved them to just three points out of the top six.
The Hawks played a full four innings match across the two weekends with dominating batting and bowling performances.
Western Suburbs batted first but were quickly all out after just 22 overs, having scored just 72 runs.
Lachlan Beasley took 4 wickets for just 15 runs alongside Matthew Williams' who knocked off 2/20.
The squad went to the crease and whacked 7/172 from 35 overs before declaring.
Liam Hodge led the charge with 69 runs and captain Dean Laing added 56 to get his side a strong lead.
In the second innings Western Suburbs came out swinging and notched up 118 from 34.1 overs.
Again, Beasley led the bowling attack as he knocked over 6/23.
Hawkesbury came to the crease needing to score 19 to win, which they easily did in 3 quick overs.
Second and Third Grade both fell to Western Suburbs across the two weekends.
Hawks Seconds were away and bowled first taking down Suburbs for 216 runs off 80.3 overs.
Ethan Sitaramayya took three wickets for 25 runs throughout his 13 overs.
When the Hawks came to the crease they were unable to reach the total going for 125, led by 37 runs from Marcus Farquharson.
Third Grade were also chasing a large total of 255 runs, despite a five wicket haul from Rowen Myers.
Some good batting from Cameron Kwok [61 runs] and Nicholas Johnson [54] wasn't enough, they just fell short scoring 203 runs.
Hawkesbury face Fairfield-Liverpool in all grades for the last game of the season on March 9.
First Grade will be playing at home from 10am at Owen Earle Oval, Bensons Lane.
Fourth Grade will be looking to win away so they have a chance to make the top six and reach the finals.
