A man has been airlifted to hospital suffering burns to his legs, arms and back after a gas bottle exploded in South Windsor.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said a call was received shortly after 7am today (Monday, Febryary 18) in relation to a 50-year-old man being badly burned at a premises on Drummond Street.

“A 50-year-old man was suffering burns to the legs, back and arms,” she said.
“It was initially thought it was a workplace incident, however it was then reported as a gas bottle explosion.”
The Toll helicopter was tasked to the area and landed in a nearby park shortly before 7.20am.
The man was transported to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment by air, the spokeswoman said.
