One man has died and the search for a second is continuing this morning (Monday) following a jetski tragedy on the Hawkesbury River.
Police have confirmed a 50-year-old man remains missing after two people fell from a jetski into the river near Wilberforce about 10.30am on Sunday, February 17.
“The men were on a section of the river near Percys Place Ski Gardens on Burdekin Road when both have fallen into the water,” a police statement said.
“A 50-year-old man is still missing.
“A younger man was recovered from the water and NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to resuscitate him.
“Sadly, they were unsuccessful.”
Police have warned people using the river to exercise caution as divers will be in the area.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
