Passenger of breath tested driver charged with drug possession

The passenger of a driver stopped by police for a breath test has been charged after officers allegedly discovered a bag of the drug, ice.

Hawkesbury police stopped the Holden Commodore in Macquarie Street, Windsor, about 1.40am on Friday, February 8 to breath test the male driver.

“Police had cause to search a 23-year-old male passenger in the vehicle from Bligh Park,” Hawkesbury police stated.

“Whilst conducting the search police located a small resealable plastic bag containing a crystal like substance believed to be the drug known as 'ice'.”

The man was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice to appear before Windsor Local Court in April in relation to possessing a prohibited drug.
